All members are asked to please put up a notice, explaining their dislike of thank-you spam, in their signatures. It can be as short as "No thank-you spam!" But really, how can you expect the spam to stop when people don't know you don't like it?

It would also be nice if you had a link to this place in your sig as well, but... /shrug

If someone sends you spam, we request that you politely explain that you dislike it, because it is spam, and that if they spam you again, you will remove all their art from your Favorites Gallery.

If you are not prepared to remove art from your Favorites Gallery because someone is being an inconsiderate idiot, please request only Partial Membership. If you are prepared to remove it, request either Partial Membership (which is essentially nothing more than another advertisement of your dislike of thank-you spam, and a show of numbers for visiting deviants) or Full Membership (which is then also an advertisement of your willingness to do something when you keep on getting spammed).

If you'd like to help maintain this page (I don't what there is to maintain, but hey, we could always use snappy funny journal entries or something, I suppose), request membership in the Staff.

We am getting very irritated by this. It is spam. We are not +faving your work because we are interested in hearing you thank us for it. We are +faving your work because we like it. When you thank us for doing so, you are sending us a message which is, often word for word, the same as thousands of other messages. Do you even bother to change what you say when you thank somebody for +faving your work?

Thank you for +faving [link] Mr Bob.
Thank you for +faving [link] Mr George.
Thank you for +faving [link] Ms Sam.

It. Is. SPAM.

Stop it.

NOW.

We don't care if you do it to other people. That's their problem, and if they don't like it, then they can say so. But WE are sick of it. There's no point to it, and it pushes RELEVANT messages further and further into the back.

Again. NO MORE THANK-YOU SPAM. If you do it, you will receive a warning. If you do it again, you will very likely find all your pictures removed from the Favorites Gallery of the offended person, while the rest of the members receive notes alerting them to your behavior, and asking them to remove your art from their galleries as well.

We recognize that some people do not read the messages we have up explaining that we don't want thank-you spam, and that some of us don't even have those messages. But when we take a moment to personally tell you that you have spammed us, and we have asked you to not do it again, that's the one and only extra chance you've got.
